1. Laser welding is suitable for a variety of materials

Laser welding can be used to connect a variety of metals, including stainless steel, nickel, titanium, inconel and molybdenum.

Laser welding transfers heat in a small, controlled area. Other processes, such as MIG welding, have greater heat input, which creates more residual stresses on the part. Controlling the heat-affected zone with laser welding keeps more of the metallurgical structure intact. The result is a higher quality weld that requires less finishing and heat treating.

The controlled heat-affected zone of laser welding also enables us to weld the exterior of a device without damaging heat-sensitive internal components.

8. Few size restrictions on components
